Shaunak Patel is a Vice President with Houlihan Smith & Company, Inc. Mr. Patel has direct experience advising clients on business restructuring, financial strategy, competitive strategy, capital raise engagements as well as providing valuation opinions for different transaction structures. Mr. Patel works closely with C-level management teams to advise clients on corporate finance strategies and alternative financing techniques. Mr. Patel is also the head of global operations for the firm’s international office in Ghana. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Patel worked as a Lead Analyst with a large management consulting firm in Chicago, where he performed M&A analysis for small to mid-market companies. Mr. Patel previously worked as a Project Management Associate with Abbott Labs where he analyzed feasibility studies on large capital investment projects.

Mr. Patel has successfully attained the accredited valuation analyst (AVA) designation provided by the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA), is a candidate with the American Society of Appraisers (ASA), having successfully passed the Society's intense written examinations, and is a candidate for the level 2 Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) examination. Mr. Patel holds a B.S. in Accounting with a concentration in finance and an MBA in Finance and Marketing. Mr. Patel also serves as an active member of C.A.R.E – a leading humanitarian organization fighting global poverty, health, economic development, and education issues. Mr. Patel is a proud member of Houlihan Smith’s Technical Standards Committee.
