Matthew Thomason is a Vice President at Houlihan Smith & Company. His primary responsibilities in the Capital Markets Group are focused on merger and acquisition advisory and corporate finance engagements. Mr. Thomason has worked extensively with clients across a broad range of industries to provide financial advisory services related to mergers and acquisitions, corporate divestitures, and institutional debt and equity raises. Prior to joining Houlihan Smith, Mr. Thomason worked for a nationally recognized management consulting firm where he was responsible for corporate analysis and financial valuation.

Mr. Thomason is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder and is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA). Mr. Thomason is a member of CFA Institute, the CFA Society of Chicago, the American Society of Appraisers, the Chicago Chapter of the American Society of Appraisers, and the firm’s Technical Standards Committee. Mr. Thomason graduated from Taylor University with a B.S. in Business Administration Systems with a concentration in finance.
